Arrival in Chittorgarh - The Fort of Legends
Arrive at Chittorgarh Junction. Transfer to hotel. After rest, evening visit to Chittorgarh Fort - India's largest fort. Watch the mesmerizing Light & Sound show depicting the heroic history of Chittorgarh including stories of Rani Padmavati and Maharana Pratap.
Chittorgarh to Udaipur
Morning comprehensive tour of Chittorgarh Fort - visit Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower), Kirti Stambh, Rani Padmini's Palace, Meera Temple, and the site of jauhar. Learn the tales of three historic jauhars. After lunch, drive to Udaipur (115 km, 2.5 hrs). Check into lakeside hotel. Evening at leisure.
Udaipur - City of Lakes
Full day Udaipur exploration. Visit the magnificent City Palace - largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Explore Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon ki Bari (Garden of Maidens), and Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum. Evening sunset boat cruise on Lake Pichola with views of Lake Palace and Jag Mandir.
Ranakpur Excursion
Day excursion to Ranakpur Jain Temple (90 km) - architectural marvel with 1444 intricately carved marble pillars, no two alike. Stop at Kumbhalgarh Fort (optional) - second largest wall in the world after Great Wall of China. Return to Udaipur. Leisure evening.
Departure
After breakfast, visit Fateh Sagar Lake and Moti Magri memorial. Last-minute shopping. Transfer to Udaipur Airport/Station for departure.

Chittorgarh Fort is India's largest fort, spread over 700 acres on a 180-meter high hill. It has 7 gates and 65 historic structures. Allow 3-4 hours minimum.
Is Rani Padmavati's story true?▼
The story is a mix of history and legend. Padmavati (or Padmini) was a Rajput queen who performed jauhar in 1303 AD during Alauddin Khilji's siege. The palace and site are preserved.
Can we add Kumbhalgarh Fort?▼
Yes! Kumbhalgarh can be added on Day 4 along with Ranakpur. It has the second longest continuous wall in the world. The excursion becomes a full day.

Amazing weekend trip! The heritage hotel was absolutely beautiful with authentic Rajasthani decor. Our guide Ramesh ji was incredibly knowledgeable about the history. Amber Fort was breathtaking, especially the Sheesh Mahal. The elephant ride was a highlight for my kids. Highly recommended for families!
