Frequently Asked Questions

Is Ladakh safe for children?

Yes, with proper planning! Our family package is designed for children 5+ years. We maintain easy pace, use oxygen-equipped vehicles, stay at lower altitudes, and avoid overnight stays at extreme heights.

How do children handle the altitude?

Children actually acclimatize faster than adults! We ensure proper rest, hydration, and avoid overexertion. Day 1 is complete rest. We monitor kids closely and have medical contacts.

What activities will kids enjoy most?

The double-humped Bactrian camel ride in Nubra is always a hit! Other kid favorites: sand dune play, Magnetic Hill illusion, prayer wheel spinning at monasteries, and spotting marmots.

Are the accommodations family-friendly?

We book family rooms or interconnected rooms. Hotels have room service for picky eaters. At Nubra, family Swiss tents have attached bathrooms and heating.

What food options are available for children?

Hotels serve Indian, Chinese, and Continental food. For kids who prefer simple food, dal-rice, pasta, and noodles are always available. Carry some snacks from home just in case.

Can we extend the trip for more family time?

Absolutely! Additional days in Leh or Nubra can be added. We can also include Pangong (but not overnight for young children) as a day trip option.
